ELECTION CAMPAIGN FINANCING
The Election Campaign Financing Act, 2016 and its accompanying regulations provide the regulatory framework for effectively monitoring and assessing political party funding and election campaign financing, locally. Through a systematic approach to financial reporting political parties are enabled to make declarations of their respective assets and the sources of funding which support their activities. It is envisioned that the system will promote accountability and further provide transparency in the outline of partnerships which assist democracy.
