Payment for Election Day Workers Commences

KINGSTON, Jamaica; The Electoral Office of Jamaica (EOJ) earlier today commenced payments for Election Day Workers who served in the recent Local Government Elections. These include Presiding Officers, Poll Clerks, Supervisors, Polling Station Security Assistants and Indoor Agents. The disbursements are being carried out at the EOJ constituency offices island-wide and at the EOJ’s Duke Street office for workers who served in specialist areas in Kingston and St. Andrew, and parts of St. Catherine and Clarendon.

Payments for other categories of workers and suppliers including caterers, hoteliers, proprietors and transportation providers are being processed and are expected to be completed between now and early in 2017. Suppliers are being asked to contact the respective constituency offices prior to going in to collect their payments.
