Aundre Franklin is the Deputy Chairman of the Jamaica Labour Party (2012 – present). He has held numerous offices and committee chairmanships within the Party. He has served as the Party’s General Secretary, Party’s Deputy General Secretary, Youth Arm’s President and Youth Arm’s Deputy General Secretary. He has been a member of the Party’s Standing Committee and its Central Executive for 22 years.
He has previously served as a Government Senator (2007-2011); Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Environment (2007- 2010) focusing on environmental issues. He has led many successful Jamaican Government delegations regionally and internationally (2007-2010) focussing on heath and the environment.
Mr. Franklin has a Diploma in Education (Dip.Ed.), Bachelor of Science in Management Studies (B.Sc., Hons.) from UWI, a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) from the Mico University College, and is presently completing a Doctorate in Education, (Ed.D.) concentration on Organizational Leadership, at Nova Southeastern University.
